Abstract
The Province of Coorg lies on the summits of the Western Ghats and is bounded on the west by South Canara, on the south-west and south by Malabar, and on the north and east by the Mysore State. Coorg gives the greater part of it an excepionally heavy rainfall during the time of the south-west monsoon from June to August.
